News and views of our premier festival weekend
Gala weekend starts TODAY!
After the excitement of the Johnstone Cup and Finals day, we are now looking forward to Gala weekend later this month.
We have lots of entries for the three main competitions. We also have many sponsors (depicted on the left) and we are grateful that so many wish to be associated with our Gala! Please click on their logo to see their websites where available, and/or note their contact details.
On Friday evening, the 27th August, we have the Junior Texas Scramble Shotgun with other fun and games, as well lots of prizes, including spot prizes such as nearest the pin. Juniors should log into the Members' Area and choose My Team Fixtures to view the draw when it is made. Click here for specific news of the Junior event. We have now drawn the Junior event, further entries will be reserves in case of withdrawals. You can see the draw here.
On Saturday 28th is the Gents / Guests Texas Scramble Competition for gentlemen members and their guests, with handicap prizes to 3rd place as well as prizes for longest drive, straightest drive, and nearest the pin on the 14th and 16th (but it must be from their respective tees, of course!) 
You will have seen the Hole-in-One prizes on offer for all of the par threes, courtesy of Skyform! We will be balloting the entries from teams of two into teams of four for this competition. Click here for reporting on this event. The event is now complete. You may see the draw by clicking here.
On Sunday 29th is the Texas Scramble for mixed teams of four, including family non-members. Plenty of prizes here too, and nearest the pin on the 14th and 16th. There are other prizes too, as well as a Gala Prize Raffle on the Saturday night, thanks to our kind sponsors whose generosity is better than ever this year. Members please note that Sam Lowrie will be performing on Saturday evening. We aim for an enjoyable social evening for all members and families to share with their guests until the bar closes with last orders at 11.30PM sharp.
