John McComish and Mary Maguire win the Bank Holiday Social Mixed Foursome

Mary MaguireThis season's second Social Mixed Foursomes on May Bank Holiday Monday was won by John  McComish and Mary Maguire (pictured here) with an excellent net score of 64.5. On a lovely sunny day, the event was well supported with 16 couples playing.
After the event, prizes were awarded to the winners; Bob Semplebest gross score prize to the team of Bob Semple and Clare Semple (gross 87); second prize to new members Denis McInally and Hilary Dundas on net 70, and third prize to Bill Pollock and Fiona Alexander on net 72.5.

Margaret MackinlayHilary and Denis were also nearest the 18th in 3 shots, with Hilary also winning the Ladies' nearest the pin prize on the 14th hole. Quite a day for this partnership.

Jim Donohoe was the Gentleman nearest the pin on the 7th hole. There was also a prize for the Hidden Hole won by Margaret and Bill Mackinlay, and for the second time running there was no Magic 2! Congratulations to all players and prizewinners; anyone who wants to enter the next event on May 31st please contact Alan & Cathie Donnelly.

Ian Aitken & Gill Campbell win the eggs on Easter Monday!

Ian AitkenGill CampbellThis season's first Social Mixed Foursomes on Easter Monday was won by Ian Aitken and Gill Campbell (pictured here) with an excellent net score of 69. Just as with last season's events, Monday's event was well supported with 17 couples playing.
After the event, prizes were awarded to the winners; best gross score prize to the team of Lynn & Steven McColl (gross 80); second prize to the previous event's winning partnership of ColinMacPherson and Christine Siebelt on net 73.5, and third prize to Robert & Claire Semple also on net 73.5 necessitating a count back, altogether a close set of results. 

Ian and Gill were also nearest the 18th in 3 shots, nearly in the hole, with Ian also winning the Gents' nearest the pin prize on the 7th hole. Quite a day for this partnership.

Fiona Alexander was the lady nearest the pin on the 14th hole. There was also a prize for the Hidden Hole won by John & Moyra Sleight, and for the first time there was no Magic 2!.
